Communicable Diseases In The Office

Transmitted from one individual to another

Also known as contagious diseases

Caused by microorganisms, such as protozoa, fungi, viruses, and bacteria, that invades the body and causes a series of changes that leads to infection and damage to the body.

Infectious diseases that can be transmitted by direct or indirect contact or through the air.
 
Recently there has been a lot of people out sick at work, I am glad that most people have the courtesy and logic to know if they are sick to stay at home.  But then there are the coworkers whom have no logic and think it is ok to bring in your daughter who has pink eye!  Yes, this really happend, and now today, a close coworker of mine is out sick with PINK EYE! (Pink eye (conjunctivitis) generally remains contagious as long as tearing and mattering of the eye continue. Signs and symptoms of pink eye usually improve within three to seven days. When tearing and mattering are no longer present, it's appropriate for a child to return to school or child care.)
 
Now, I am not saying she got it from the daughter who was here for no more than 10 minutes after a supervisor had to talk to her mother and let her know it is not ok to have her daughter here and could contaminate others.  But how ironic how someone now has it in the office.  If you know you are contagious with a communicable Disease, use your brain and stay away from work...stay away from everyone.  Lock yourself up in your house and DO NOT come out until you have been cleared to enter the work force again!!
 
That is my vent for the day, I just get irritated by people who have no logic!
